Around 13 crows and a peacock were found dead in different areas of Chandigarh on Wednesday.
More than 50 birds have been found dead in the city in the past more than a week.
According to the Chief Conservator of Forests, UT, Debendra Dalai said the peacock was found dead in Botanical Garden, carcass each of crow was found in Sector 38 (West), Mani Majra, Janta Colony, Mauli Jagran, five in Campa Plot, two each in Dhanas and the PU campus.
UT Chief Conservator of Forests said 8 samples sent to the Jalandhar based Regional Disease Diagnostic Laboratory to test for avian influenza had already been tested negative. Report 13 samples awaited, he added.
