High-definition cameras to keep a check on violators in Zirakpur


Six automatic number plate detection and recording (ANPR) cameras are being installed on the stretch of the highway leading from the Chandigarh-Zirakpur barrier to the McDonald’s point in Zirakpur.

The high definition cameras are being installed under the Safe Mohali Project.

Zirakpur traffic in-charge Ombir Singh said: “Poles have been installed and the work is in the final phase.

One such camera has been installed in the Baltana area also.”

The work will be completed by January 15.
