England scored 578 runs in their first innings with the help of Joe Root’s double ton.
Jofra Archer dismissed both Indian openers. England were bowled out for 578.
The home team lost opener Rohit Sharma (6) early, edging one to Jos Buttler after Archer got the ball to move a shade along with extra bounce.
