Just like 2020, the year 2021 has also turned out to be a nightmare for all of us. Amid the rapidly increasing number of covid cases, the government had to take strict actions to curb the spread of the virus. From shoots not happening to all the businesses being shut down, the pandemic has an adverse effect on people’s mental health, leading to increased stress, anxiety and depression among people.
Actress and International Fashion Model Aarti Vij, who is known for ramp walks Internationally with top labels and also for featuring in various regional music videos says “Just like other people, this lockdown has badly affected my mental health. Just before lockdown, I had signed up for a project with a prominent artist and music label but owing to the pandemic and the lockdown, I really don’t know when it is going to start. Moreover, television and social media are flooded with depressing stories these days, all such things started triggering my mental stress.”
Vij, on the Social front has been keeping herself busy during the pandemic by helping people, throws light on how she is trying to keep herself positive.
“Yoga is my saviour. It just helps me to cope with the situation and remove all the toxic negativity from my mind. It’s magic. From reducing my stress to relieving my anxiety, Yoga is a cure for my problems. It helps in increasing my mental strength”
